Akinrotogun Muhammed-Rabiu is the Managing Director/CEO of Mate Energy Industries Limited. He is a versatile, oil and gas technocrat and rare manager of both human and material resources. Akinrotogun has made enviable contributions to the manufacturing and energy sectors in Nigeria. As a seasoned engineer and entrepreneur with over thirty years of career experiences cutting across Automobile and Petrochemical at the highest levels, Akinrogun brings to bear on the organisation his training, vast professional network, foresight and managerial ingenuity.
Akinrotogun Muhammed-Rabiu is a trained Chemical Engineer from the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Niger State. Before bringing his business acumen into the establishment and management of Mate Energy Industries Limited, he had garnered a wide range of work experiences.
His career began at Edison Auto Industries Limited Nnewi, Anambra State where through diligence and hard work he rose through the ranks to the position of Production Manager in 1999. He also had a good stint with Ibeto Petrochemical Limited, in the same State as Assistant Quality Assurance Manager in year 2000 and later became the substantive Quality Assurance Manager. His resourcefulness made him a ‘beautiful bride’ amongst key organizations who often admired his work ethics, productivity, thus he also joined the services of Techno Oil Limited Lekki Lagos, as Blending Plant Manager. In 2009, he took his services and expertise to Chemtech Group as Operation Manager, where he was subsequently deployed to Chemtech Auto Manufacturing Industries Limited as General Manager in July 2012.
He belongs to several professional bodies including the following: Fellow Institute of Oil & Gas Research & Hydrocarbon Studies; Member American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM); Member Tribology Society of Nigeria (TSN) besides attending other relevant professional trainings in Nigeria and overseas.
