Olalere Akeem Adewunmi is an accomplished professional with over 15 years of invaluable experience in the lubricant industry. He is currently serving as the Head of the Quality Control/Assurance Department. His journey in the industry began with a strong educational foundation, as he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry (Industrial Option) from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, and furthered his knowledge by earning an MBA in Marketing from Obafemi Awolowo University, Osun State. Additionally, Olalere is a certified Lubricant Specialist, showcasing his commitment to expertise and excellence in his field.
Olalere’s passion for chemistry was ignited during his time as an Industrial Trainee at Techno Oil, Lekki, Lagos, where he gained hands-on experience and developed a profound interest in the intricate chemistry of lubricants. This early exposure laid the foundation for his successful career in the lubricant industry.
He embarked on his professional journey as a Sales Representative in the Oil and Gas section of Olakhal Limited, where he honed his skills in understanding customer needs, market dynamics, and product positioning. This experience instilled in him a customer-centric approach and a deep understanding of the lubricant market.
In 2012, Olalere joined Chemtech Group of Companies, based in Mowe, Ogun State, specifically Delight Energy Limited, as a Laboratory Analyst. His analytical acumen and dedication to maintaining the highest quality standards in lubricant production led to a swift rise through the ranks, culminating in his appointment as Chief Chemist. This achievement highlights his technical proficiency and leadership capabilities within the industry.
In 2014, Olalere Akeem Adewunmi was recruited to the company as a Plant Chemist. Over the years, his unwavering commitment to ensuring the quality and integrity of lubricant products has propelled him to his current role as the Head of the Quality Control/Assurance. In this capacity, he oversees a team of professionals, develops and implements rigorous quality control processes, and ensures compliance with industry regulations, all contributing to Mate Energy Industries Limited’s reputation as a trusted and reliable provider of lubricants.
